FAQs

  • Do they offer tours and retreats?

Yes, Return to Freedom does offer a variety of private tours and retreats. You can schedule yours either on a weekday or weekend. The only way the day that you request will not be honored is if there is an event or activity already taking place at the ranch. Costs for all tours and retreats that involve a large group are based on a sliding scale. For rates and available dates, you can send an inquiry to programs@returntofreedom.org.
  • How many horses are on the sanctuary?

At present, Return to Freedom is home to nearly 400 wild horses. This number also includes 29 burros. Roundups of these animals that are in dire need of protection are going on all the time. Once they arrive at the sanctuary, they will find an environment that keeps intact the horses’ social structures as well as the natural behaviors that they established in the wild.
